I thought these were valid and well made examples of rhetorical devices. Part of Geoff Gray's work, a recent graduate of Arizona State University. In the first two posters he uses pun formally (nest: bagel; pump: gun). The Texaco logo as a new national flag is a good example of irony also, where we see a single star replacing the original 50. And, in my personal favorite, Geoff has represented different forms of government in a metaphor of a large hand & smaller hands, which in turn are synedoches for the people ruling & the people ruled, respectively.
